How can I place an order ?

You can place an order in 6 easy steps :

1. Register yourself as an IS THIS CHICKEN ? member. That way you will have access to the shop and be able to review and rate designs. It is possible to search for your favourite shirt in the shop without being registered, but for purchasing you must be an IS THIS CHICKEN ? member.

2. Browse the shop until you find a shirt you want to buy.

3. In the "Buy This"-box you can select your size and the number of shirts you want to buy and add your choice(s) to your cart.

4. You may repeat step 2 and 3 as many times as you want. So either add more items to your cart for purchase or when you're done end your shopping by clicking GO TO CART [also the lamp button in the header].

5. In your cart you can make sure you have selected the right shirt(s) and size(s) and still make some adjustments.

6. If you've added all the items you wish to purchase, you can check out. This process involves 4 steps; Verify Your Order, Shipping Information, Billing Information and Place Your Order. You will receive an order confirmation email.

Is this a secure chicken ?

All the personal information given to IS THIS CHICKEN ? will be protected and will NOT be given or sold to third parties. Payment information will not be stored and credit card paying will be conducted on the secure site of paypal.com. On the paypal.com site you will find a small lock icon in the lower right-corner of your web browser. When this icon is present, and in the locked position, you know that the information on that page will be secure.

Where is my order now ?

Once your order is processed on the IS THIS CHICKEN ? website, the people of IS THIS CHICKEN ? will check if your payment is in (unless you have selected C.O.D | Rembours as payment method) and If everything is correct, pack your shirt(s) and give it/them to our mailman. You will, depending on your location, receive your shirt within a few days!

You can find your order information and status by clicking the profile button (the bird) and scroll down. Here it is possible to view the information of every order you have made. Just click on the order and a new window will open which you can just view and also print.

How can I make a payment ?

Payment can be submitted by iDeal, C.O.D | Rembours, Paying In Advance, Credit Card or Paypal.

iDeal: Pay by using your own internet banking service. We generate a link from our cart to your personal bank secure site where the transaction will be completed.

C.O.D | Rembours: You will pay the postman when you receive the package.

Paying In Advance: When we have received the money on our bank account we will send the package to you.

Credit Card: You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover.

Paypal: You can also pay with Paypal alone.

Shipping options.

We will send our package with TNT Post. Shipping rates are calculated using the information on the website of TNT Post. When purchasing an order these costs will be calculated in step 3 when checking out.

What is PayPal doing here ?

Since we don't have our own online security for credit cards we work withPaypal.com to handle credit card payments. When you select paying with your credit card, you are redirected to their site in order to pay on a secure account. We will receive the money on our Paypal.com bank account.
Because Paypal.com is responsible for credit card payments, you can also pay with your own Paypal account.

Who designed my shirt ?

IS THIS CHICKEN ? shirts are designed by you and the rest of the IS THIS CHICKEN ? community.

IS THIS CHICKEN ? is a shirt competition and you are the designer. You and the rest of the world can design a shirt and submit this on the IS THIS CHICKEN ? website, after which the rating starts. The shirts will be rated by everyone of the IS THIS CHICKEN ? community. If your shirt receives the highest score, it will be printed and sold in the IS THIS CHICKEN ? webshop. The designer will of course receive a copy of his or her own t-shirt for free.

My mom doesn't know how to wash.

We at IS THIS CHICKEN ? are crazy about design, so we even created our own washing instructions. If your mom doesn’t understand them, she can find them here:

Wash t-shirt inside out. Machine wash cold. Wash dark colours separately. Use washing powder only if needed. Do not iron decoration. Do not tumble dry.

Dammit, out of stock. Now what ?

IS THIS CHICKEN ? shirts are printed in small numbers to keep them exclusive. Which means sometimes a print might be out of stock. You can still put a request to have your favourite design reprinted. Press the OUT OF STOCK button which will appear instead of the INTO CART button and we will receive your request in our database. If you’re lucky, we will reprint your shirt and you will of course be informed ASAP.

Policy on returns.

IS THIS CHICKEN ? wants everybody to be completely in love with their shirt(s).
If you're not pleased with your purchase, please return the item(s) for an exchange or refund under the following conditions:

All returns must be in the original condition that you received them in.

Please fill out the return form that was shipped along with your package. You can find this form at the bottom of your package voucher. Indicate what you are returning and why. Also indicate whether you want to exchange your shirt or receive a refund. (To use the return form, you can fold it backwards, so our address is on top and all your information is inside).

If you've received the wrong item or if the item is damaged, we will reimburse the cost of returning the item. Please include your invoice with the return.

All returns must be made within 30 days after placing your order. We don’t accept returns or exchanges after the 30 day period.

How can i create a profile ?

Everyone can create an IS THIS CHICKEN ? profile and become a member of the IS THIS CHICKEN ? community. Your first step is registering by clicking "register" on the front page. Just fill in the fields and you will receive an email with a temporary password and a link to verify your account. Once you have activated your account, you can change your password in the profile section, upload photo's, edit your profile and participate in all ITC ? sections.

How can I rate a design ?

First register yourself as a member on the IS THIS CHICKEN ? website, this way you will join the ITC ? community. Once you are logged in, click "rate submissions" (the lawnmower). You will now see all the designs on the left. If you hold your mouse over one of the designs you will see how many days are left to rate this specific design. You can now click any design and if it's within its rating period, rate it on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 being bad). You can rate each submission only once, so think before you rate! It is also possible to leave comments, even when the rating period is already closed. Please note that you can be critical in your feedback as long as it stays constructive and respectful.

Once a rating period closes for a specific design, ITC ? will keep the score and hold on to it until the end of a contest-period after which all design-ratings will be compared and winners will be announced!

I want to upload my design.

In order to submit a design you have to be an IS THIS CHICKEN ? member. Once you are registered and logged in, go to your profile page (the bird) and download the Shirt Template, which you can find on the right under "Edit Profile". Open the Template file in photoshop. You will see the front and back image of a shirt. Turn off the layer that says "place your design here" and replace it with your design. Save it as a .jpeg or .gif file. Do the same for a close-up (detail) of your design, only now also turning off the shirts-layer. You should now have two files, one with the shirt and one with the detail of your design. Please note that your design can contain a maximum of 4 colours + the colour of the shirt (which you can choose in the Shirt Template).

You are now ready to submit your shirt! Go to the same section of your profile where you found the Shirt Template and click "Upload Design Here". Only upload your design if it is finished and you are completely satisfied with it.

If you have followed all the instructions your design will now appear on the "Rate Submissions" page. If your design wins it will be printed on an original ITC ? t-shirt and you will receive a free shirt with your own design.

How to comment on a design ?

In order to comment on designs you have to be an IS THIS CHICKEN ? member. Once you are registered and logged in, go to "Rate Submissions" (the lawnmower) where you can check, rate and comment on the submitted designs. You will find the comment box on the right, below the design itself. Be aware; if you're going to criticize, please be constructive and respectful!

Winning and printed shirts ?

At the end of each month IS THIS CHICKEN ? will go through the best rated submissions and evaluate them based on total ratings, number of colours used in the design and style. Designs will be checked for fraud and copying, so be original! Once decided, we will contact and announce the winner(s) of that month and start printing the winning shirt-design(s).

I want to submit a photo.

Go to your IS THIS CHICKEN ? account. If you don’t have one, create one by clicking "register" on the front page. Once you're logged in, go to your profile page (the bird). Here you can click 'add image' and upload any picture under 150kb. To remove an uploaded picture, just click the little trash can on the thumbnail of that specific picture. Make sure to keep it decent, otherwise IS THIS CHICKEN ? will delete your photo without notification of reason.

Is this what ?! IS THIS CHICKEN ?

IS THIS CHICKEN ? is the result of three multidisciplinair designers having a dream. When observing the upcoming stream of expensive design shirts they were disappointed by the graphics and started a plan. A plan that's been simmering in the background for years.

In 2007 they finally had the official launch of their online shirtshop. An online shirtshop that offers exclusive quality shirts with custom designprints made by their own members for an affordable price and the opportunity for ambitious new designers to test their skills!
